Coach Kendra
Founder and Coach
With more than six years of cheer experience, Coach Kendra grew up loving the sport and everything that comes with being part of a team. During her years as an athlete, she was a UCA All-Star and attended Cheer Nationals four years in a row.
Although it had been more than 20 years since she stepped onto a cheer mat herself, Kendra’s love for the sport never really left. That passion was reignited when she began coaching cheer at Benicia Middle School, and she quickly remembered just how special the cheer community can be.
While Kendra loves the athleticism, skills, and excitement of cheerleading, what she values most is the camaraderie and connection that come from being part of a team. At Legacy, she’s excited to teach athletes the fundamentals of cheer—but even more importantly, to help shape the people they become along the way.
Kendra is passionate about character development and helping every athlete who walks through the Legacy doors discover just how strong they can be, both physically and mentally. She wants her athletes to understand that being a great teammate means more than performing well—it means being kind, encouraging others, working hard, showing resilience, and helping the people around you become better, too.
She is honored to be part of building a program where athletes can grow both on and off the mat. If her athletes leave Legacy stronger, more confident, and knowing how to be a kind and supportive teammate, Kendra believes that will be her most important legacy.
When she’s not coaching, you can usually find Kendra wrangling her two boys, Miles and Kade—most likely with a Diet Coke in her hand and a smile on her face.
